Introduction

A 200m joint dataset covering the whole of Germany is also available in windPRO

The Digital Terrain Model with a grid width of 200 m (DGM200) represents the Earth's surface terrain using georeferenced points arranged in a regular grid. It covers the territory of Germany. DGM200 is derived from the Digital Terrain Model with a grid width of 5 m (DGM5) by extracting relevant grid points. The primary data for DGM5 was created by state surveying institutions and compiled into a homogeneous dataset by BKG, with height differences at state borders corrected through interpolation or data elimination in cooperation with state surveying offices.
