German Saarland Elevation Models

Elevation Model for Saarland - 20m grid resolution.

Introduction

The elevation model of the German Bundesland of Saarland is a digital terrain model produced from 1m data originating from the Landesamt für Vermessung und Landentwicklung Saarland. The elevation models delivered with windPRO are available at 1m, 5m, and 20m grid resolutions. In windPRO, we provide the finest resolution data (1m), along with two versions at 5m and 20m grid resolutions to ensure the data is operational for larger areas needed in the context of wind farm analysis. These versions were resampled from the 1m resolution data. The DGM1 model is derived from LiDAR laser scans. The data made available by EMD represents the data status of early 2025.

The data are available directly from within windPRO in 3 different grid resolutions. The data can be accessed from the online-services in the following objects:

The product belongs to the open geo-data of Saarland, Germany. The data have been licensed under a Data license Germany – attribution – version 2.0 (Datenlizenz Deutschland - Namensnennung - Version 2.0) -"dl-de/by-2-0".
