Introduction
A 200m joint dataset covering the whole of Germany is available in windPRO. This DTM200 dataset was produced by the national Bundesamt für Kartographie und Geodäsie (BKG). It is derived from the Digital Terrain Model (DTM/DGM) with a grid width of 5 m (DGM5) by extracting relevant grid points. The primary data for DGM5 was created by state surveying institutions and compiled into a homogeneous dataset by BKG, with height differences at state borders corrected through interpolation or data elimination in cooperation with state surveying offices.
