Canadian Wind Turbines Database
Introduction
The Canadian Wind Turbine Database provides detailed information on the geographic locations and key technological specifications of wind turbines installed across Canada.
This dataset was created through a collaboration between CanmetENERGY-Ottawa and the Centre for Applied Business Research in Energy and the Environment at the University of Alberta, under the direction of Natural Resources Canada.
This dataset was created in 2021.
Usage Notes
Availability from within windPRO
Downloading the MaStR data into windPRO is a simple 1-2-3 process - as outlined in the figures below.
Data Evaluation
- Contains a total of 6698 existing turbines
- 6372 of turbines are mapped to the windPRO WTG catalogue (95.13%)
