Introduction
The Faroe Islands Topographic Map is a part of the dynamic, zoomable maps in windPRO. The Environment Agency in the Faroe Islands has released several maps and geospatial datasets via its portals "føroyakort" (https://www.foroyakort.fo) and "kortal" (https://www.kortal.fo). The data are provided 'as-is' and via a national, open data license. In windPRO we have added the following maps through our dynamic map service:
- Føroyakort 1:1.000.000 (2023)
- Føroyakort 1:500.000 (2023)
- Føroyakort 1:100.000 (2022)
- Føroyakort 1:20.000 útgáva 4.0 (2017)
Usage Notes
- The map was derived (downloaded, georeferenced, processed) from source data accessed in June 2023.
Availability from Within windPRO
- From map window: Click the ‘Add map’ globe-icon -> then ‘Dynamic Maps’
- From main menu: Click ‘Project’ -> ‘Properties’ -> ‘Background Maps’ -> ‘Dynamic Maps’
